My Kitchen Layout is a Keeper

I bought my home almost two years ago in May. One of the most important things that I was looking for was a great kitchen layout design! My fiance and I like to entertain so having something that was functional and also had an open kitchen design was vital.
There are several things that I absolutely love about it. For example every single person that has seen it, always compliments on my glazed kitchen cabinets. And I must admit, they are beautiful! Not only are they wonderful to look at but I love the way the original designer used interesting kitchen cabinet ideas to give a great kitchen cabinet layout and look.
The cabinets wrap around the entire kitchen, which gives me plenty of kitchen cabinet storage. Another wonderful feature of our kitchen are the kitchen counter tops. I have plenty of room for almost everything I need.
The only downfall that I see is that there doesn't seem to be enough space on both sides of the stove. Not a deal breaker but a little on the annoying side when I am trying to fix a dinner with lots of ingredients and transferring them from one side of the kitchen to the stove. It can get tricky.
One thing I really wanted was a kitchen island bar! I have always loved the way that they look, the feel that they give a kitchen design, and the added room they provide. Unfortunately, my kitchen design isn't equipped with one. It however, is still a very open kitchen design and is an L shaped kitchen.
And with the amazing ceramic tile flooring that we have, it definitely gives off a roomy and comfortable feeling. Overall I would have to say that even though it wasn't one hundred percent to my expectations, I love my kitchen.
It has a warm feeling from the dark country style cabinets and beautiful kitchen granite countertops, the amazing light we get from the window over the sink into the dining area, to the ample space it has...it all is so inviting. And at night with an interesting use of kitchen lighting ideas makes it really stand out. It's definitely a keeper!
